This policy explains how EntityFile handles information when you visit our website or use our filing assistance service.
You may provide your name, email address, phone number, Entity Name, DOS ID or Registry Number, addresses, and registered agent or officer details. Stripe processes your payment information; we receive billing and transaction details but do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
We also collect site activity, IP address, browser and device information, and a persistent visitor identifier through cookies and analytics tools. We may obtain public entity details from state records to help you prepare a filing.
We use your information to prepare and assist with filings, verify entity details, process payments, send filing updates and receipts, respond to support requests, keep transaction records, and improve our website. We use Microsoft Clarity and Umami analytics, including session recording, and a visitor cookie to understand site usage and measure experiments.
We may share information with state filing authorities for your filing, Stripe for payments, and hosting and analytics providers to operate our website. We may also disclose information when required by law. State filings may become public records. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information and to limit certain uses of it. California residents may also have rights to know how information is used and shared, opt out of a sale or qualifying sharing, and exercise privacy rights without discrimination. We may verify your request and retain information where the law permits or requires it.
Our website uses HTTPS to protect information sent between your browser and our site. We use reasonable safeguards and retain information as needed to provide services, keep transaction records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Our filing assistance is not directed to people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
EntityFile operates in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Our website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
